Belle Toute Lighthouse Blue Light Special Sold
In news from across the Lighthouse pond, Belle Toute Lighthouse was sold to a secret overseas investor on March 14, 2008 for a undisclosed price estimated to be £500,000 ($980,500).
According to the news, Lord Lightly and Lady Lighthouse (aka Mark and Louise Roberts, the sellers) were unavailable for comment. A spokesman for the Strutt and Parker Real Estate agents stated the secret buyer had a “good local knowledge” and a family member would live in the Lighthouse.
Rob Wassell, Chairman of The Belle Toute Lighthouse Preservation Trust who formed the trust to purchase the Lighthouse with the goal of opening the historic property to the public, was greatly disappointed his dream didn’t become reality. He has dissolved the trust and may re-form the trust if the historic Lighthouse is placed on the market in the future.

It has just been on the South-East England local news that the lighthouse is to be used as a ‘bed and breakfast’ by the new owners.

Hi English Coast,
Thank you for the update. The “bed and breakfast” news and moving the Lighthouse to a safer distance from the edge of the cliff is great news! A new post revealing the new owners will be published soon.
