Google Lighthouse, the Beacon of the Virtual Universe?

blogbeacon There are rumors floating around the digital waterways that Google is secretly working on a new online project called “Lighthouse.”

“a world with infinite storage, bandwidth, and CPU power. With infinite storage, we can house all user files, including: emails, web history, pictures, bookmarks, etc and make it accessible from anywhere (any device, any platform, etc).” – the slide 19 notes of Google’s retracted powerpoint presentation initially released on Google Analyst Day, March 2, 2006

Infinite storage in finite world? Is that possible?

Two key questions if Google’s Lighthouse project becomes reality are:

Will this online file storage provide easier communication with our friends online or will Google’s Lighthouse shine a light on our private personal files?

Will navigating for helpful information be easier or will we be lost in the sea of files?

Google Lighthouse sounds like another Google Hoax! And, this is why Google’s patented PigeonRankā„¢ works so well, Bobby!

  1. Hi Bobby!
Is it true, Drupal is a Drop of content in a sea of information? I wonder if the infinity eyes of Drupal is the only way to see the infinite storage of Google Lighthouse?

Maybe, Apple can develop iBlog or someone can create a Blogging Buddy CMS to compete in the digital markets?

  2. Bobby Says:

I do believe Google will do ANYTHING to own us all.
There should be a limit on how large a company can be. I await now for Google to buy WordPress – it’s coming and I will be forced to switch to Drupal.

    Very entertaining post Debbie!!!:)
