Lighthouse Festival

blogpeggy Pancakes and Postcards will be served at the Summer Lighthouse Post Office located on scenic rocky Peggy’s Cove during the three day “Lights Along the Shore” Lighthouse Festival this weekend, Sept. 14 to Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007.

Visitors will explore and learn about the seafaring heritage and history of the 17 Lighthouses along the Lighthouse Route and Evangeline Trail located in Southwest Nova Scotia. Highlights of the festival include a fisherman breakfast at Peggy’s Cove Light, a pancake breakfast at Cape Forchu Light, a lobster boil, chowder luncheons, and a moonlight tour.

Who knows, you might see Debbie Dolphin in the Bay of Fundy surfing the world’s highest tidal rip during your Lighthouse trip along the Evangeline Trail!
